Job Description
1. Project Monitoring and Tracking:
- Monitor project progress and performance against the established plan, schedule, and
- budget.
- Identify potential risks, issues, and deviations from the plan and take appropriate
- corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain project control systems, including earned value analysis and
- project reporting tools.
- Analyze project data and provide regular status reports to project managers,
- stakeholders, and senior management.
2. Cost Control and Budget Management:
- Develop and maintain project budgets, including tracking and forecasting costs.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
- Conduct cost analysis, identify potential cost overruns, and recommend cost-saving
- measures.
- Manage change orders, claims, and contract variations to minimize cost impacts.
3. Schedule Management:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating resource constraints and
- dependencies.
- Monitor project activities and milestones against the schedule.
- Identify potential schedule delays and implement corrective actions to mitigate impacts.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure schedule
- alignment.
4. Contract Management:
- Review and manage project contracts, including terms, conditions, and deliverables.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Facilitate contract change management processes and negotiations.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and monitor potential project risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks effectively
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, logs, and
- records.
- Prepare and present project control reports, highlighting key performance indicators,
- issues, and recommendations.
- Ensure proper documentation for legal, financial, and record-keeping purposes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
- Proven experience in project controls management, preferably in the residential
- construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including scheduling software
(e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Procore).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
- and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively
- collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the construction industry.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
