Our Client is a leading worldwide producer of wardrobe systems. Established in 1992 in Europe, it was the first of its kind to introduce and promote complete interior design solutions in this genre. The company has established a manufacturing facility for Kitchens, Doors and wardrobes based in the Kingdom of Bahrain to cater for the GCC market. Company has been beefed-up by the purchase of latest technology machineries and a strong technical team to execute received orders.

The company is looking now to recruit immediately a Production Manager with a proven track record in Joinery, Carpentry and wooden finished products industry. Candidate would be entrusted to lead the production department. The role is made to attract unique and exclusive profiles with strong experience in handling planning of production and coordination for the projects undertaken.

Responsibility for the overall management of the work activities including planning, scheduling, setup, safety standards and quality assurance and implementing production scheduling, delegating, coordinating and carrying out the overall production activities to ensure the highest level of productivity and product quality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, direction and work delegation to all immediate subordinates
• Planning and ensuring all production plans and deadlines are adhered to
• Studying drawings and specifications and prepare material estimate for new orders
• Prepare material scheduling requisition documents and follow-up on requests and deliveries with stores for Material Requirements and delivery Schedule
• Plan daily production based on overall monthly production plan
• Responsible of all production activities including proper distribution of resources and instructions to all factory workers regarding productivity and quality improvement
• Ensuring continuous interaction and information exchange with production department and supervisors for day to day activities
• Ensuring that the daily production report (daily accomplished work by each fabricator and actual production output of the plant) has been prepared by the supervisors
• Responsible of scheduling maintenance planning according to projects progress
• Responsible of contacts and coordination with clients, supervisors and other departments to ensure fabrication and installation schedules are met
• Responsible for all installation schedules and requirements including site preparation, safety standards and onsite work progress
• Effectively addressing customers complaints
• Responsible of preparing, submitting and presenting periodical projects progress
• Expected to attend all site meetings, consultants and clients meetings and to discuss all pertinent projects related issues at such meetings
• Participate in the Employee’s performance evaluation processes
• Perform other duties as required to support the activities and initiatives of the company.

We are looking for a candidate who will be a foregoing achiever at the management level with a proven and relevant track record. The role requires strong expertise in expanding existing business model; introducing new products and in turn around situations for an existing company. The successful candidate will be required to gain the confidence of the board and prove that he is capable of achieving both the immediate objectives of assessing company’s current situation as well as positioning the company to become a local leader in its products/services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and execute a thorough assessment of the company’s current condition and outline future potential
• Develop and implement the strategic goals and objectives of the Company and study each product (existing or to be introduced) to get in alignment with the goals and objectives of the Board
• Draft a business plan to achieve the stated ambitions of the Board
• Responsible for the implementation of approved business plan and strategic objectives
• Responsible for the complete P&L of the company
• Prepare and recommend annual budget for Board’s approval and prudently manage the company's resources within the budget guidelines
• Responsible for developing the sales forecast and meeting sales targets
• Identify/source business opportunities from local markets and other existing customers
• Responsible to develop the sales channels across other markets, mainly KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE and Oman
• Responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with existing clients and future prospects as well as mitigating any hindrances from previous dealings
• Leverage the company’s existing franchise and strongly diversify the business sectors and client base in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as well as in other GCC countries
• Make prudent bidding, pricing and tendering decisions in line with the company’s strategy
• Finalization of procurement contracts arrangement
• Oversee projects implementation (with the assistance of other heads of divisions)
• Implement best practice in planning, management reporting and governance processes
• Provide direction and leadership towards the achievement of the company's philosophy, mission and strategy
• Build a complete and competent management team for the company
• Relationship management with the major customers as well as major suppliers

Major Purpose:

Sales of Surgical range (Intra Ocular Lenses (IOLs) implanted post Cataract operations, Advanced Technology Intra Ocular Lenses (ATIOLs), Viscoelastics, Equipments for Cataract & Vitrectomy machines and paks for these machines, development of customers with potential and the acquisition of new customers.

Delivering the company strategy for the whole surgical product range in the Operation Theater (OT) as well as in the clinics with ophthalmologists & the rest of the OT staff & professionals.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. Full accountability of territory (sales, distribution, active customers, market share etc)
2. Responsible for delivering sales targets according to set budget
3. Delivering and implementing company strategy
4. Support marketing in delivering programmes

We are looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to join their team in Bahrain.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Ensure that the company is functioning most efficiently with special care to maintaining good quality and safe work environment meeting all objectives of profit, customer satisfaction, healthy financial performance, managed risk and satisfactory working atmosphere for all staff.
Reporting to: Chairman

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the full operation of the company and its budget as well as customer expectations.
• Good knowledge of sourcing raw material (Scrap).
• Responsible for the daily production operations of the company and all its components.
• Manage the responsibility of the entire operation of the company within the boundaries of the budget and showing developing plans to save on operational costs.
• Develop and improve process efficiency and quality standards adherence.
• Develop the company and introduce new products and processes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Responsible for managing the procurement to ensure that all raw and packaging materials are available in a timely fashion.
• Control optimal production solutions and equipment needs.
• Manage and help in the development and update of all operational procedures.
• Implement and maintain ISO quality standards
• Responsible for staff adherence and improvement using up to standard Manufacturing principles
• Responsible to provide the necessary training to all staff for development and improvement.
• Able to manage production personnel: Work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
• Able to evaluate employee performance and motivate to achieve peak productivity.

• Monitor and recommend proactive corrective and preventive equipment and machinery maintenance program.
• Prepare annual budget and present to management the yearly performance and outlook of the company.
• Forecast facility capabilities and manage annual production operating budget.
• Able to measure and upgrade standards for all job functions and procedures.
• Clearly understand customer specifications and requirements and ensure that systems are in place to meet these requirements avoiding mistakes and quality related errors.
• Produce management reporting, information details meeting manufacturing and operational metrics.
• Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services by coordinating with external departments such as (HR, IT and Finance).
• Lead in the exercise of long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational and manufacturing excellence.
• Development of individual growth program budgets
• Timely invoicing to customers.
• Payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits.
• Regular meetings with the board.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate in Engineering or equivalent
• Open to Arabic nationals and Westerners with MENA experience
• At least five years of C Level experience
• Must have at least 3 years experience in the Steel industry
• Should have strong experience overseeing all aspects of the business from technical to financial to planning to sales to manufacturing etc
• Familiar with manufacturing and its associated equipment
