Al-Harbi Telecom was founded in 1993 to specialize in the telecommunications technology, satellite, VSAT Internet, digital video conferencing, Steaming, Distance learning and VOIP . In short time Al-Harbi Telecom has become the exclusive agent for Hughes Network Systems (HNS) in Saudi Arabia. Hughes Network Systems is a world leader in telecommunications technology. HNS designs, manufactures and installs advanced networking solutions for businesses and governments worldwide. Al Harbi International has invested $15 million with Hughes for equipment and services. In the year 2000 Al-Harbi Telecom was appointed as the sole agent for NetSat Express, which provides complete backbone solutions to Internet Service and a leader in IP over satellite since 1996, with operation in more than 25 countries and serve hundreds of sites in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, and Asia. NetSat was awarded a five-year $17.5 million contract for the new DVB service into the Middle East. The contract, awarded by Al-Harbi International for Telecom, will utilize space on the Telstar 12 satellite and represents NetSat Express' first major customer for this service in Middle East. In short, Al-Harbi Telecom has invested over $32.5 million dollars in its Mid-East market and has the right recipe to deliver a quality communication service using Hughes sophisticated satellite equipment and the latest satellite broadcast technology from NetSat Express.
