Compass Group consolidated its presence in Egypt by acquiring the largest two local leaders: Quality Foods in 2001, and Said Oil Service (SOS) in 2004. One of our core competencies and something that differentiates us in the local market is our Central Production Unit (CPU) located in 6th of October City which is designed and fully equipped in accordance to the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) global standard. As evidence for its high standards, in August 2003 our CPU was listed and awarded a CENTCOM certification which distinguishes our company as the only approved source for providing catering services to the U.S. Army in Egypt.
