Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar ,founded in 1937,is one of the leading business houses in the Arabian Gulf. Through their Machinery Group, established in 1959, Al-Bahar represent Caterpillar, the world's leading manufacturer of machinery and engines for earthmoving, mining and petroleum industries; for marine and industrial applications; for building and road construction; for electric power generation,materials handling and farming applications. The Machinery Group started operations in Kuwait, followed by setting up branches in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar, together with an associate company in the Sultanate of Oman (Oasis Trading and Equipment Co.) The General Office was moved from Kuwait to Sharjah, UAE, in 1990. A range of material handling equipment, which includes Caterpillar Lift Trucks, Terex(Lorain) and Hiab cranes and Atlet warehouse trucks extend the company's ability to serve a wide diversity of Industry sectors.
