    The role holder is responsible for performing administrative tasks for specific applications and providing support to users on any application related issues. Also the role performs database management tasks and ensures backup and recovery procedures as well as maintaining database documentation. Main Job Functions: • Maintains multiple applications including support, configuration, documentation, testing and upgrading. • Performs issue/problems/requirements gathering with respect to specific applications, analyses and identifies the cause of the issues. • Coordinates software system installation and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. • Modifies existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. • Ensures timely updates/maintenance of the system software. • Investigates, analyses, and resolves complex application and software problems. • Plans and coordinates the installation of new releases and upgrades of information systems and ensures that the migration of database and programs are completed with minimal impact on business operations. • Performs database management tasks such as meeting user access requirements, resolving their problems and controlling access permissions and privileges. • Ensures archiving, backup and recovery procedures for databases are functioning correctly. • Writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary. • Provides support for all implementation related to Oracle, Document Management System, Microsoft applications. • Supports all other small applications developed using .NET and SQL Servers. • Develops and tests procedures to download and upload data from the server to computer and vice versa to enable the users to have easy access to information required to carry out their business processes. • Creates and maintains all support documentation and all procedures according to technical standards for systems development, enhancements and modifications.

    The role holder is responsible for implementing quality assurance standards and measures for the Information Technology (IT) services within the organisation. Main Job Functions: • Conduct the main responsibilities of the relevant quality function like: Test Management, Process Improvement, Problem Management, Change Management, Service level management, Release Management, Configuration Management and Project Quality etc. • Develop and implement quality assurance processes, best practices, methodologies and measures for new or enhanced services, projects, processes or changes. • Conduct regular reviews to measure and assure adherence to established Quality Assurance (QA) standards for processes, projects, changes, and corresponding documentation. • Produce reports about the performance of relevant processes and any other required reports. • Develop and maintain documentation and procedural standards. • Assists in interfacing with Database Administrators, Systems Administrators, Application Developers, and IT Managers on quality assurance responsibilities and issues. • Work closely with the other departments to ensure that they comply with the IT policies, procedures and standards. • Provide consultation on the quality assurance processes, policies, procedures and standards requirements to the IT teams. • Take necessary action to close the internal or external audit observations.
