Since then we have continued to bring growth and security and safety to the country by upgrading these transportation systems as well as providing solutions for customers in air traffic management, air defence and Navy.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and manage our portfolio of projects in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC). As the COO, you will report directly to the Head of AFC Projects in France and work closely with the teams located in France and Cairo. Additionally, you will play a key role in accompanying the transformation plan for the realization of the Egypt projects and collaborate with both on-shore and off-shore Egypt project managers.
Main Responsibilities:- Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance for the portfolio of AFC projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project goals.
- Projects Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive projects plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies. Oversee projects execution, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to projects timelines and milestones.
- Team Management: Build and manage projects teams, including projects managers, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, and skills development.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage key stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, and internal departments, to establish clear project expectations, manage relationships, and ensure timely resolution of issues or conflicts.
- Collaboration with France Teams: Work closely with the teams located in France, fostering effective collaboration and communication channels to ensure smooth projects delivery and knowledge sharing.
- Accompany Transformation Plan: Play an instrumental role in the realization of the Egypt projects' transformation plan, supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives and driving change management efforts.
- Collaboration with Egypt Project Managers: Work closely with on-shore and off-shore Egypt project managers, providing guidance, support, and coordination to ensure the successful delivery of AFC projects in Egypt.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor projects budgets, track expenses, and manage financial aspects of the projects. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities to optimize projects costs without compromising quality or timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that projects deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess projects risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address potential issues to minimize projects disruptions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project progress reports, executive summaries, and other relevant documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of projects status, milestones, and risks.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in AFC. Leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement in project management processes.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in the field of Automatic Fare Collection or a related industry.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with clients, senior management, and project teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk assessment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
