Job Description
Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets and deadlines. Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficiency goals. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Support the Plant Manager in supervising and motivating a diverse workforce, including production staff, technicians, and support personnel. Assist in assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and quality targets are met. Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning. Collaborate with the Plant Manager and other departments to develop production schedules and prioritize orders based on customer demands and resource availability. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control systems to ensure compliance with product specifications and customer requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from standards. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced to minimize downtime. Assist in evaluating the need for new equipment or upgrades and make recommendations to improve production efficiency. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), efficiency metrics, and any operational issues. Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and other relevant documentation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related.
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel furniture manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
