Job description
Providing engineering leadership to the systems engineering team to ensure that all system and subsystem requirements are met and that a compliant system is delivered on time and within budget
Monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the program service delivery methods and procedures and recommending service and staffing levels for Systems Engineering division Acting a as key member of the senior management team and providing project status information, analysis and technical recommendations to the senior leadership team Oversees the design review and integration for complex systems, including Telecommunication, Centralized Control, Signaling, AFC. Providing support throughout the full system project life-cycle including planning, design review, implementation, testing & commissioning, operations, maintenance support and decommissioning of systems based on useful life Assisting Stakeholders, Technical Design, Interfaces and Project Management teams in understanding the Systems Engineering effort so that they can better understand systems design and integration issues, as well as forecast the scope of their projected activities Taking overall responsibility of all rail systems engineering, technical integration as well as testing and commissioning where required Reviewing and approving system and subsystem design specifications, interface requirements and test requirement documents through rigorous analysis and decomposition modeling Ensuring the delivery of fully coordinated, complete and coherent documents including designs, technical certificates, reports, analysis and specifications.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in communications engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 18 years' experience of progressively more senior roles on major, heavy systems rail projects Extensive multidisciplinary engineering experience within a metro or related rail project environment including knowledge of key domains, systems practices and disciplines. Significant experience in rail systems integration, with particular emphasis on rail operational information systems, control systems and equipment, and performance evaluation, modeling and validation Strong understanding of civil design integration with systems engineering principles
