Job Description
The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager, the role reports into the Managing Director and will assist in Planning, Forecasting, Coordination, Development and administration of programs and projects (Such as IFRS 17 implementation) .
The individual will be responsible for all financial aspects of Company as well as all forms of financial reporting & management including, but not limited to, financial accounting, tax, treasury, financial reports on the business.
Overall fiduciary, significant role with accountability for (compliance with local laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal control design).
Your Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
  • Fiduciary responsibility over all financial aspects of the business and related sub-tasks. Design, coordinate, implement and evaluate all financial processes and transactions to achieve business objectives/goals with a good level of process efficiency. Ensure that the statutory financial statements are prepared according to the Egyptian GAAP for Insurance & Reinsurance companies, IFRS 17 & IFRS 9 knowledge would be preferably.
  • Ensure that Company's assets are well safeguarded, accounted-for and properly reported.
  • Full responsibility over reporting operational divisional results on monthly basis to corporate headquarters.
  • Ensure Along with MD and IT Manager that IT process design and related systems properly serve business operations' needs and add an overall control environment to Chubb's culture. Ensure that sufficient hardware is well selected and placed into operations to secure the above vision.
  • Work with the IT team to control access to selected data for each employee of finance team basis his area of work and responsibility.
  • Heavy involvement in preparing business budgets and related revisions/follow-ups.
  • Prepare financial reports for both Audit Committee & board of directors' meetings.
  • Overall responsibility for complying with all taxes in the country with a support of tax consultant and related booking/reporting.
  • Manage needed changes and improvements (with coordination with MD and IT Manager) in the automated financial and management information systems for the Company.
  • Ensure compliance with all law and regulations applicable to Chubb's business in the Country (with close coordination with Legal Consultant under MD supervision and other relevant departments).
  • Overall responsibility on the accuracy and timing of Company's Financial Statements, Internal reporting requirements, special business analyses and other relevant statutory reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain good internal control environment for all aspects of financial activities.
  • Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Analyses cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyses financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. These goals must be communicated with selected team members to secure one-vision work atmosphere.
  • Overall responsibility of dealing with banks and securing facilities from banks basis the projected cash flows and related assumptions. And manage investments in coordination with the head of treasury in COG.
  • Will be responsible of finance team managing from many aspects including recruiting, staffing, skills development, objective setting, day to day activities and performance assessment of his team members.

Qualifications
What skills & experience are required?
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting section) is a must.
  • Strong communications skills, proficent in Arabic & English language including written and verbal.
  • Experience within the insurance is preferable.
  • IFRS 17 & IFRS 9 knowledge is preferable.
  • Experience with multi-national companies is preferable industry.
  • Experience in financial reporting
  • Strong intercultural and communicative competencies
  • Profound analytical skills and able to work under pressure.
  • Leadership and organisational skills
  • Certified
