As Managing Director you'll oversee strategic direction and operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, profitability, and growth while leading teams to deliver exceptional client service and manage risks effectively.


Key Accountabilities

The position involves:


  • Provide strategic direction and vision for the brokerage insurance firm, guiding its overall growth and development.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability across all brokerage departments.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control, to drive sustainable growth and profitability within the brokerage context.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies specific to brokerage operations to mitigate potential risks and ensure financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards within the brokerage insurance sector, staying abreast of legislative changes and implementing necessary measures.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key clients, brokers, and partners within the brokerage insurance market, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team within the brokerage firm, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Drive product innovation and development within the brokerage context, ensuring offerings meet the evolving needs of clients within the insurance market.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion and growth, both domestically and internationally, within the brokerage insurance sector.
  • Engage with the board of directors and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and seeking input to align strategic objectives and priorities within the brokerage firm.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid brokerage license.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in the broker insurance industry.
  • Ability to successfully pass the FRA Exam.
  • Previous experience in e-insurance with technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership skills specific to broker insurance operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance within the broker insurance sector.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting, within a brokerage context.
  • Proven ability in client relationship management within the broker insurance market.
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in a brokerage setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of broker insurance markets, products, and emerging trends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored for broker insurance stakeholders.
