Planning Engineer construction

A leading construction company in Heliopolis, Cairo is looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource allocation, critical path analysis, and progress tracking.
2. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and inputs for project planning.
3. Monitor project progress and ensure that it aligns with the planned schedule.
4. Identify potential risks and delays in project schedules and develop mitigation strategies.
5. Communicate project schedules and updates to all relevant stakeholders.
6. Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement strategies for improving project efficiency and productivity.
7. Review and analyze project data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
8. Prepare reports and presentations on project schedules, progress, and performance.
9. Provide guidance and support to junior planning engineers.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in project planning and scheduling.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling and previous Experience in Infrastructure works and watertight facilities.
3. Proficient in using project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
10. Knowledge of local regulations and standards related to construction project planning.
