We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our team. The Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's systems and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain security controls and solutions to protect the organization's systems, networks, and applications.
Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans to identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Monitor security events and incidents, investigate security breaches, and respond to security alerts in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure deployment processes.
Provide security guidance and support to development teams, helping them design and implement secure software solutions.
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and make recommendations for improving the organization's security posture.
Participate in security audits, assessments, and compliance initiatives, ensuring that security controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of security awareness and training programs for employees.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or other relevant certifications is a plus.
5 years of experience working in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on security engineering and operations.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM solutions, etc.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, etc.) for automation and tool development.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with GCP cloud security and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
