Job DescriptionWe aspire to build the best user-centered product & design organization in the Middle East and are looking for a talented UX Researcher to establish our UX research practice. You will be joining at an inflection point that means you will be supported and mentored by world-class product and design leaders, but also have an incredible amount of ownership and responsibility for a product that helps improve people's lives every day.
You will be responsible for establishing the practice of UX research at Breadfast. You will report to the VP of Design and partner closely with product managers, designers and executives to ensure that the voice of the user is represented at every point of the product development process. This is primarily a hands-on role, however, we are growing fast and expect the role to grow into a leadership position as you establish the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth user research, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and other qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, product managers, and engineers, to integrate user insights into the design and development process.
- Analyze user data and feedback to identify pain points, user behaviors, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create user personas, journey maps, and user flows to inform product design decisions.
- Champion user-centered design principles within the organization and advocate for the importance of user research.
- Communicate research findings and insights effectively to stakeholders, facilitating discussions and driving actionable recommendations.
- Scale yourself by educating and training designers and product managers on best-in-class research techniques and practices
Experience and qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Examples of previous research projects that demonstrate your ability to uncover valuable user insights and inform product decisions.
- At least fives years of experience in a user experience research role.
- Strong knowledge of qualitative user research methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills in English and Arabic, both in-person and remote
- Experience recruiting candidates and managing panels
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Additionally, great candidates will also have:
- Experience working on e-commerce or consumer research.
- Expertise in quantitative studies and research techniques
