Job Description

Experian Digital Workplace (EDW) provides IT consulting and technical support for front-office and back-office software systems. The EDW Billing team is looking for an Application Specialist to support and enhance in-house corporate applications. 


Summary of Primary Responsibilities 


  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to application functionality 


  • Coordinate the resolution of technical activities (e.g. incidents, requests, enhancements) with users and vendors  


  • Review functional requirements and technical designs 


  • Analyze, design, develop, test and implement changes to the application 


  • Identify potential improvement areas and recommend solutions 


  • Produce application documentation e.g. operational guide, FAQs, architecture diagrams 



Qualifications

Required: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience 


  • Hands-on experience with SQL to create queries and generate reports  


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical individuals 


  • 5-8 years of Previous experience supporting and maintaining corporate applications 


  • Self-starter able to work proactively and with minimal supervision  


  • Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams 


Desired: 


  • All-round IT applications experience e.g. software development lifecycle, post-implementation support, data migrations, application upgrades 


  • Previous exposure to Java, Linux, cloud-based applications
