A qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of experience (post qualification)
Previous work experience in ‘Big Four’ or other top accounting firm or working in industry with a substantial previous work-experience with Big 4
Good verbal and written English communication skills

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will work with the Corporate Tax Team in our Gurgaon office. The team oversees the preparation of the firm’s corporate tax returns in all the countries where it operates, together with the preparation of the statutory financial statements for the operations in those countries. The team also manages the corporate tax position, including our transfer pricing arrangements, and coordinates the responses to corporate tax audits. The team is working on several projects that need accounting and tax expertise on a regular basis. This is an internal, non-client facing role to work in the US tax function comprising of 5-6 team members, which is part of Corporate Tax Team. This role will be focusing on assisting the US tax accounting and compliance processes as well as handling audits and tax planning initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are looking to hire a professional with a proven track record in accounting and compliance operations. The role requires experience in handling an offshore team managing the accounting of tax provision and reporting with the ability to provide support and oversight of process improvement implementations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax provision process. The role includes the following:
Finalisation of world-wide tax provision (current tax and deferred tax) for the consolidated US GAAP financials statements
Preparing tax provision estimates for quarterly financial reporting
Managing tax provision true ups on a periodic basis
Coordinating tax inputs with country teams for tax provision computations
Reviewing the process of compilation of book to tax differences for all McKinsey entities for deferred and current tax computations; this includes review of tax returns, coordination with various tax experts, office finance teams and advisors in certain countries
Handling the US statutory audit process related to global tax provision and finalisation of notes to accounts relates to taxes
Preparing effective tax rate reconciliation and internal review reports
Documentation of processes followed, and work performed; identifying process improvement and automation opportunities
Other tax accounting related tasks as assigned on a time-to-time basis
