Associate Manager, Engineering – Customer Operations Implementation (CMO-IMP)


Job Description


Customer Operations Implementation (IMP) is looking for Associate Manager, Engineering for the Process Automation (PAU) team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining automation tools to support day to day activities for the operational teams across IMP and CMO, mainly the Ticketing and Payment, Reservation and Referential Data, and ATC Claims management teams.


Your responsibilities


As Associate Manager, engineering, you would lead a team responsible for analyzing automation needs and design, deliver and maintain software solutions.


Your responsibilities include:


People Management:


  • Manage a team of staff employees and have accountability for their performance and results. Set performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommend actions.​
  • Coach staff for their career evolution depending on their job profile, leading by example.
  • Install a collaborative mindset in the team, allowing to provide support and expertise on the components for studies, deliveries and production investigations.

Vision & Accountability:


  • Accountable for Process Automation function within implementation division which includes but is not limited to managing various internal tools including Architecture, development (front end and back end) using JAVA framework,
  • Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Suggest alternatives / improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans
  • Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's automation strategy based on potential savings as well as a broad understanding of the environment.
  • Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary.
  • Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives
  • Report on team activities
  • Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries

Candidate


  • 10+ years of experience in IT industry that includes travel technology domain
  • At least 2 years as a team lead or people manager
  • Best practices across the full Software Development Lifecycle (requirements, Architecture, development, quality assurance, release management)
  • Working experience with security and managing output of CISO audits and requirements
  • Languages: Java, Angular, Kubernetes, Microservices
