Associate Technical Director - Electrical and Instrumentation (ANA Water)

Role description:

We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Associate Technical Director (ANA Projects) to work on our projects the US region from our Design Centers in India.

Role accountabilities:

1. Take on a leadership role with the project team, providing direction and leading by example where appropriate. 
2. Lead teams and develop staff to meet changing technical and managerial needs. 
3. Manage quality processes. 
4. Plan, direct and control tasks, people and resources. 
5. Manage the delivery of projects in accordance with Management Systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. 
6. Able to provide input to  estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and oversee technical resources to meet requirements on large, complex projects. 
7. Build strong working relationships with  technical disciplines, Arcadis offices. 
8. Create opportunities to implement new digital approaches on projects 
9. Coordinate and manage project teams and large size projects of single discipline engineers or mid - large size multi disciplinary project teams, ensuring client satisfaction, effective project management and good communication and collaboration between Arcadis colleagues. 
10. Perform independent technical review for projects of moderate complexity. 
11. Develop and maintain E&I standards, procedures, and specifications. 
12. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards. 
13. Compliance of Arcadis business management system. 
14. Promote continuous improvement in "Safe by Design" 

Qualifications & Experience:

M.E / B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentationl from a recognized University.

1. 18+ years’ experience. 
2. Proven Experience in international projects 
3. Have relevant experience including leadership of the development and implementation of engineering solutions. 
4. Working in a project management role, have project management experience. 
5. Have achieved Chartership with UK / PE is an added advantage 

Required Competencies:

1. Maintain and extend a sound theoretical approach to the application of technology in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering practice. 
2. Experience in Water and Wastewater Industry is an added advantage 
3. Coach and mentor engineering professionals to support the development of Arcadis’ talent pool. 
4. Sound technical knowledge, academically good. 
5. Have recognised expertise in a professional discipline with well-established industry network. 
6. Familiar with American standards, NFPA, NEC, IEEE and IEC standards 
7. Proven design experience; including concept, preliminary, detailed, construction phases 
8. Conversant with ETAP, SKM Tools and DIALUX software. 
9. Conversant with AIS, GIS and Hybrid substations 
10. A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure.  
11. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. 
12. Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement.  
13. Proven track records of consistently bring work from the lead region
