Job responsibilities

• Planning of all activities of hot pepper breeding project: Translation of the set Breeding targets into an operational breeding plan.
• Preparation of all  activities of a breeding  project.
• Execution of the activities of a breeding project: Making the right  plant and line selections on critical moments in the breeding cycle.
• Maintaince of detailed records throughout the breeding cycles.
• Decision-making to advance material to R2 and planning of trial productions and screening trials
• Handover of R3 material  to Seed Production according the defined specifications  and registration in the designated system
• Implemention of developed technology and traits in the breeding program.
• Functionally coaching less experienced Breeders and Assistant Breeders
• Be creative and innovative in developing new ideas and solutions by exploring latest scientific knowledge and technologies in hot pepper breeding.
• Must have a demonstrated industrial experience of  over 12 years in hot pepper breeding.

• Sufficient market knowledge about hot pepper traits and USP’s.
