Your Role and Responsibilities
Participate on a team focused on delivering packages and containers for a large scale software product; learn and understand the technologies involved
Complete tasks within designated timelines
Call attention to things that are not delivered
Coordinate with team leads, program managers, and other engineers to deliver product builds on time
Work with upstream communities
Take on new responsibilities as directed by your manager.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Good understanding of Linux operating system
Ability to learn new programming languages
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Familiarity with containers technology
Experience with continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD)
Understanding of how open source and free software communities work.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with Python or Go programming languages
Experience with Linux software packaging
Experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift
Experience with development for public cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine (GCE, or Microsoft Azure
