Qualcomm XR Research India is hiring, and we are scouting for the best talent in the country to join us.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and optimize extended reality (XR) processing pipelines and algorithms on Qualcomm’s platforms.
Map XR algorithms to real-time implementation on mobile platforms and investigate hardware/software tradeoffs.
Analyze functional and performance issues in different software environments and on hardware.
Closely collaborate with product owners and domain/technology experts to integrate/validate software in a larger system.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of software development experience with bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Excellent C++ and Object-Oriented programming skills
2+ years of experience in using at least one Game Engine (Unity, Unreal). Hands on experience with using meshes, materials and custom shaders.
2+ years of experience in using at least one low-level Graphics API (OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, Metal) with focus on Shader programming.
Experience in using Graphics debugging/analyzer tools like RenderDoc.
Good understanding of 3D Geometry and related mathematics.
Testing and debugging on mobile platforms or other embedded systems
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and team working skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in using AR/VR/MR SDKs.
Experience in using 3D modelling tools like Blender, 3ds Max, etc.
Domain knowledge in image/video processing algorithms, graphics shader programming, XR technologies.
Prior experience in software development, testing and debugging of real-time multimedia features (Camera, Graphics, Video, Computer vision, Extended reality)
Prior experience in Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms
