Position Description:


The role of the Linguistic Consultant – brix is to collaborate closely with global brand teams, agencies, and internal and external stakeholders to achieve excellence in content delivery and optimize operational processes while executing global brand strategies consistently at scale with speed. Additionally, this role will focus on enabling new levels of personalization in the future and will involve collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including local agencies, vendors, affiliates, and internal teams, such as LMS, Tech@Lilly, and other functions at LCCI Commercial Services, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment across diverse geographic markets. This position demands a creative problem solver who actively contributes to the realization of the brand's objectives while consistently seeking opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness.


Key Objectives/Deliverables:


  • Drive customer and business value by playing a crucial role in systematic production of the most impactful information to HCPs through the br environment
    • Utilize Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to create, manage, assemble, store modular content components such as Core Claims, Device Core Claims, Disease Education, Marketing Messages, Regulatory Information, Citation, as well as Visual Representations
    • Collaborate with medical, legal, regulatory, and other reviewers to ensure the approval of content modules, adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements in various geographic markets
    • Review and approve Usage Rights for audiovisuals used in the modular content
    • Strong understanding of the overview and differences between FDA, EMA, and PMDA guidelines
    • Collaborate with affiliate marketers and writers to produce and draft localized claims based on global claims by translating and substantiating with region-aligned data and creating visual representations per localization requirements
    • Leverage AEM’s capabilities for localization to adapt modular content for different regions and languages, managing translations and language-specific variations within the system
    • Ensure that localized modular content maintains its integrity and consistency with the source content
    • Collaborate with vendors for the translation of content into local languages and provide recommendations for enhancements to ensure content quality and effectiveness
    • Take end-to-end ownership of compliance of the modules created in the content ecosystem
    • Advocate for improvements in AEM that align with the specific needs of modular content review and deployment processes
    • Compile tailored content materials by utilizing predefined tactic templates and pre-approved modules
    • Offer strategic insights derived from the brix to inform and shape marketing decisions
    • Utilize manuscript wireframe-building tools such as Jigsaw to integrate modular content components into tactic templates
    • Assemble modular content components into final tactics, such as email campaigns, landing pages, or social media posts, using designated tactic-rendering tools or platforms such as Jarvis
    • Explore ways to streamline the process of building and deploying tactics, optimizing the use of final tactic building tools to improve efficiency and scalability
    • Collaborate with Digital and Tech@Lilly teams to propose enhancements and new features that can optimize the tools for modular content creation and deployment
    • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for content creators and reviewers to ensure they are proficient in using the tools to their full potential
  • Exhibit an exceptional command of the Italian/German/French language and understanding of the complex cultural nuances, encompassing a deep comprehension of its complex grammar and syntax
    • Review content composed in I Italian/German/French to guarantee precision, grammatical correctness, and overall coherence
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the cultural intricacies and nuances that influence effective communication in Italian/German/French-speaking markets
    • Leverage cross-cultural knowledge to ensure that content not only adheres to linguistic accuracy but also aligns seamlessly with the cultural context, enhancing its resonance and impact
    • Analyze Italian/German/French materials in relation to their original English counterparts to ensure unwavering consistency, pinpoint accuracy, and seamless localization
    • Apply advanced Italian/German/French language proficiency to elevate the fluency and readability of translated content from English to Italian/German/French, preserving the source material's original meaning and tone
    • Collaborate effectively with translators, writers, and multidisciplinary team members to address intricate linguistic challenges, uphold content quality, and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement
    • Conduct meticulous quality assessments on translated materials, ensuring alignment with the target audience's expectations and nuanced cultural sensitivities
    • Exhibit exceptional proficiency in crafting original content in Italian/German/French that effectively conveys the brand's message and engages the target audience, demonstrating both linguistic mastery and creative flair
  • Facilitate effective cross-cultural collaboration to optimize business outcomes
    • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at the regional level, including local affiliates, vendors, and agencies, to align content strategies with specific cultural preferences and market nuances
    • Collaborate effectively with regional teams and partners to understand diverse market dynamics, customer preferences, and regulatory requirements, fostering strong working relationship
    • Sensitively navigate cross-cultural differences and nuances, ensuring that business strategies and initiatives resonate with the local culture and values of each region
    • Facilitate open and effective communication between brands and regional teams, ensuring that goals, expectations, and progress are clearly communicated and understood
  • Engage in the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of critical processes and quality systems across affiliate operations
    • Promote a blend of agility, efficiency, and compliance to bolster the effectiveness of agile teams
    • Proactively engage with multiple stakeholders both within and outside the brand's agile meetings, facilitating communication and collaboration during the review and approval process
    • Offer coaching and training sessions as needed to drive consistent implementation of changes, and provide feedback on proposed procedures to ensure clarity and practicality
    • Implement strategies for product launch excellence, sharing best practices across functions to bridge the gap between expectations and results, and support the training of new hires during the onboarding process
    • Contribute to peer reviews within the established peer-review framework to enhance overall process efficiency and quality
  • Assist in spearheading cross-functional initiatives aimed at defining and overseeing the overarching objectives of pan-Commercial teams through collaborative efforts
    • Define and create a Commercial-wide launch excellence mind-set and plan to improve quality, decision-making speed, and execution
    • Collaborate with leadership to help design and improve workflow and processes for teams within Commercial

Minimum Experience/Personal Skill Requirements:


  • Holds a LPT (Italian/German/French Language Proficiency Test) or any other equivalent Italian/German/French proficiency certification
  • Strong proficiency in Italian/German/French, with a strong grasp of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly self-motivated and driven
  • Strong curiosity skills with the ability to anticipate problems, provide potential solutions, and work toward resolution
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to influence, collaborate, and work as part of diverse cross-cultural teams
  • Ability to make independent decisions within scope of responsibility
  • Proven learning agility and proactivity
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of demonstrated experience in the content domain
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent tasks with strong attention to detail

Additional Preferences:


  • Skilled at analysis, judgment and decision making, with an eye toward quality and continuous improvement
  • Proven planning and organizational skills
  • In-depth familiarity with content management tools like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Veeva, etc.

Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Pharma/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences
