Procurement Manager

Job Purpose: Support for procurement of direct materials, logistics council activities.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Procurement data mining & analysis of information to frame reports for strategic decision for direct material.
Frame reports to management related to Indian macroeconomic indicators and forecast raw material price trend.
Develop and conduct analytics based on procurement and business partner needs and direction.
Identifies key opportunities for cost savings initiatives by benchmarking and best practices.
Apart from bringing economic value to the business entities, explore Environmental value by exploring green commodity & identify means to reduce the carbon footprint in logistics.
Frame contractual engagement with the commodity manufacturers for regional demand as well global requirement for strategic partnership.
Frame plan to reduce the carbon footprint in logistics for India requirement under sustainability drive.
Frame monthly report for Procurement members related to commodity & logistics update which will help in strategic decision.
Conduct eA for Raw material & Logistics services based on overall spend analysis.
Hold periodic meeting with Headquarters to review reports Vs the KPI related to Raw material & logistics activities.
Others:
Work closely with the Japanese team to secure and maintain excellent communication and high standards within the department.
Identify opportunity areas, implement new/improved solutions to improve results and increase productivity.
Good analytical & problem-solving skills.
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to multi-task, effectively meet deadlines and prioritize work assignment.
Sourcing for direct & indirect material, coordinate in framing & implementing strategy for department goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
BE (Mech) / MBA with 10~15 years’ Experience
Good communication skills.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office, Excel & PPT.
Preferred:
Exposure in managing pool purchasing in diverse product & services based industry.
Good know-how on the cost structure of product & services.
Strong negotiation skills with stakeholders.
Work exposure in supply chain management / Procurement department.
Exposure in working with Japanese companies.
