About the team: PayU Finance is the credit and lending arm of the PayU brand (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Prosus group. Previously Naspers group) headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. PayU Finance operates under two brands - LazyPay and PaySense with a focus on Buy Now Pay Later and financial products. We are in pursuit of becoming India’s preferred credit super-app with various financial products in our roadmap to launch and capitalise on. PayU Finance India has disbursed over 20 billion loans by volume and has disbursed more than $280 million in consumer credit. What you’ll be doing:
Lead the team in producing groundbreaking user experiences across all touchpoints
Cultivate partnerships with Program Managers and Engineering colleagues, collaborate across functions to shape a user-focused product vision, and coordinate on subsequent actions.
Assemble and oversee teams in various locations, focusing on Research, Design, Prototyping, and UX Writing.
Utilize insights from research to guide the strategy and direction of the product roadmap and portfolio, including particular designs and metrics.
Demonstrate thought leadership in the larger design community in India through written work or demonstrations on other media. You’re the face of the team in the design community
Foster a team environment which is democratic, has a thick skin for feedback and is agile
What are we looking for:
Someone who has really good taste
Roughly 8+ years of experience designing consumer mobile-first product design
Roughly 2+ years managing a team of 2 or more designers
Possess strong UX design, UX writing, and research capabilities across various software products and user demographics.
Skilled in analytics, quantitative research, instrumentation, mapping user journeys, and measuring outcomes.
Proficient in addressing UX requirements and overcoming challenges within consumer products.
Able to effectively communicate with precision and uphold a high degree of accountability
Capable of exerting influence across teams without formal authority, addressing both technical and business challenges
