Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, Consumer


Location: Mumbai


Job Description: Responsible for the overall performance of assigned General Trade and Modern Trade key accounts for the given region. The incumbent will assist the Head of Sales in delivering the overall sales objectives, supervising sales team, fine-tuning and monitoring the execution and taking pro-active initiatives to cease every opportunity to increase the sales in accordance with the companies’ policies and strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Driving business for the region / Lead the team: Discuss, set clear targets and strategies for accomplishment of the same in alignment with the HOS and track its fulfillment. Consistent in-market working to support to team.


  • Planning and Negotiating strategic alliances with key chains:Developing quarterly activity/ promotional calendar specific to Focus stores and chain accounts/standalone stores. Strategize / execute zone specific brand objectives within budget and time. Liasoning with Marketing/ Trade Marketing for branding activities at stores


  • Marketing Liasoning: Work coactively with all Brand Management Team to develop Consumer awareness /image / preference by Executing Planned Consumer Promotions & Events At Quarterly Basis. Execute Marketing events and Promotional Programm by conducting brand-wise promotions basis the outlets / Marketing activity calendar.


  • Financial Responsibilities: Operate/ Achieve Channel/region Costs as budgeted for the year. Documentation and Prior Approval Of All TOTs (i.e. terms of trade) for audit purposes. Submitting NOCs (No Objection certificate) from vendors/channel partners on a quarterly basis.


  • Outlet Responsibilities: Accountable for Correct Placements & Maintaining all Company Marketing Assets in coordination with the Trade Marketing and Marketing team. Maintain a Database of all GT/MT Outlets (administrative, commercial, business details).


  • Reporting / Administration: Report Accurate Timely Information as scheduled and in the defined regular format. Monitor Activities and Sales Promotions on weekly / monthly basis to determine deviations from plans and take necessary corrective actions.


  • Competition Tracking Responsibilities: Track competition activities monthly in GT / chain / modern trade outlets. Document and communicate the same to the brand & sales management team in the monthly review meeting. Ensure proper and immediate feedback for appropriate and timely action.


Skills & Qualifications :


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree/Master’s degree (Preferred) in Marketing or Business or similar.


  • Work Experience: Minimum 10 years continuous experience. Preferably worked in west region in a related field/FMCG industry. Should have handled direct ASM in both GT & MT operations.


  • Required pre-requisites skills/experience for this position: Proficiency with MS Office suite.


  • Strong communication and negotiation skills


  • A high degree of strategic forward thinking,


  • Analytical skills to handle complex situations,


  • Taking the full responsibility for decisions and repercussions
