TheRelease EngineerRole (Salesforce/NetSuite)
Join our Quality Assurance & Release Management Team as a Release Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of software releases while upholding the highest standards of quality, governance, and traceability.
As a part of the release team, you'll coordinate end-to-end release processes, implement automated build and deployment processes, and safeguard production environments.
Experience in handling releases for Salesforce application is a mandatory skill set.

- Strategic Release Coordination: Lead the coordination of end-to-end software releases, ensuring adherence to standards and mitigating risks to protect production environments.
- Continuous Integration Expertise: Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for key production applications, including NetSuite and Salesforce.
- Technical Stability Assurance: Take ownership of ensuring the technical stability of production systems, implementing workflows and methodologies to minimize risks and reduce incidents.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies and Change Management processes, collaborating with teams to adhere to security and governance requirements.
- Innovation and Improvement: Research and implement new technologies and frameworks to enhance release processes, reduce deployment cycle time, and improve overall efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate release status to stakeholders, collaborate with Security and Governance teams for audits, and manage release cadence and calendar.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
- End-to-End Release Coordination: Coordinate software releases from planning to deployment, managing version control, implementing automated build and deployment processes, and ensuring environment consistency.
- CI/CD Architecture Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for NetSuite, Salesforce, and other production applications, driving continuous process improvement.
- Test Environment Management: Lead and perform periodic test environment refresh activities for Salesforce and NetSuite, ensuring the availability of reliable testing environments.
- Workflow Optimization: Define and monitor workflows for development teams to deploy changes to shared environments, ensuring traceability, governance, security, and segregation of duties.
- Risk Mitigation and Incident Management: Identify and mitigate risks, manage source and version control processes, and facilitate change management processes to avoid failed deployments and incidents.
- Tool Management and Upgrade: Own and manage release management tools, ensuring security compliance and leading any tool migration or upgrade activities in the future.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
- Experienceof Salesforce.com- Required
- Required 4 years expertise in software development and release lifecycles, automation tools, and effective collaboration.
- Administration/Configuration knowledge
- Apex class knowledge (or strong experience with other similar languages such as C# or Java). Unit test best practices or TDD experience would be a plus.
- Metadata knowledge
- Deploying metadata using Ant.
- Experienceof NetSuite - Required
- Administration/Configuration knowledge
- Proven experience of backup and restore of changes
- Experienceof Source control systems (TFS, GIT) -
- Managing Conflicts on GIT and Pull request merging.
- Bitbucket / GitHubconfig
- Continuous integration/deployment/delivery tools- Required.
- Experience withGearset and Jenkins important.
- Experience with Ant/Maven
- Proved experience implementing C.I. on Salesforce and NetSuite
- CRM Data deployments using Data Loader
- CPQ deployments using Gearset.
- Data Masking, Backup and restore using Gearset
- Project management/ticketing tools (Jira, Trello)
- NodeJsand JavaScript knowledge.
- Strong technical background, ability to display best practices for coding/scripting
- Heroku platform knowledge would be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software or business-related subject.
- Salesforce Certification – Administration or Deployment Architect.
