Continue to stretch HSBCs ambition and push boundaries on the use and adoption of Data & Analytics to unlock value and drive growth 10x. Continue the pivot to all Regions to deliver value to our stakeholders – customers, employees, regulator and investors. build locally, deploy globally
- Embed Customer Led Design in our delivery life-cycle and evolve our delivery methods continued focus on agile @scale.
- Design and build a Customer Responsive Architecture - delivering on customer expectations in understanding their needs by capturing, interpreting and connecting every customer and market event in real-time.
- Driving Next Gen MI – shape how we run, manage and report on our business in real-time
- Deliver a new Operating model. Scale of common and shared services utilities with the potential to Build, Operate and Transfer utilities into 1. Group; 2. Platform integration/convergence; 3. Effective Organization Design; 4. Embed Minimum Viable Governance
- Deliver and evidence return on investment on our committed Book of Work.
- Collaborate effectively with xLoB, Group Functions and Group with a particular focus on building common capabilities and stakeholder value

What you’ll do:
Principal responsibilities
- Develop innovative and impactful data-based tools and models for propensity modeling and risk mitigation, continuously evaluate the effectiveness of models and make recommendations for improvements.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) from various sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy and integrity. Design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data extraction, storage and processing.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex transactional and demographic datasets to identify patterns for identifying risk and opportunities.
- Extract and integrate data from external sources, such as public databases, social media platforms and third-party vendors to enhance advanced analytics capabilities.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives and overall analytics strategy under the wholesale data science and analytics head.
- Advocate and promote the use of data science to drive fact-based activity and behavior in wholesale banking globally.
- Engage various stakeholders to understand and collect project requirement, present analysis and or results, make recommendations on strategy formulation and solicit project feedback
- Work with and leverage solutions and approaches developed by the wider HSBC Analytics community.
- Keeping up to date on the latest advanced analytics and big data technologies. Engage with academia on shared research topics related to new trends in advanced analytics.
