Senior Product Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer with 5+ years of experience to join our Agile Scrum teams. As a Senior Product Designer, you will focus on user experience and user interface design of INTO's digital products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop design concepts, prototypes, and final designs that align with brand guidelines and product requirements.
Successful candidates will be working local hours (IST) but will be required to have some flexibility to join meetings outside of normal working hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating world-class digital products that offer a fantastic user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and final designs that align with brand guidelines and product requirements.
- Communicate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Champion user-centred, evidence driven, mobile first UX and UI design across all INTO digital products.
- Conduct research to identify user needs, goals, and pain points to inform design decisions. Including usability testing and user feedback sessions to iterate on designs and improve user experience.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to align business and user needs as well as develop solutions.
- As part of a cross-functional team you will collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and user stories for product features.
- Identify optimal user experiences and create artefacts to deliver them – personas, user journeys, wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, content structures, etc.
- Present findings on user research and user testing results with the wider business via regular ‘show & tell’ sessions.
- Attend Quarterly PI (Program Increment) Planning sessions with the Scrum teams and key business stakeholders.
Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a field related to design, such as graphic design, interaction design, or human computer interaction.
- 5+ years of experience in product design or related field.
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates design process, problem-solving skills, and ability to create intuitive user experiences.
- Extensive experience in using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite and online tools for facilitating workshops and design sprints like Miro, Mural or similar.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Heap, Pendo, Mixpanel etc.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Ability to create and use customer journey maps to inform the design of digital products and platforms, and to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative data from user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in industries like EdTech, Media, Publishing, Gaming or Creative Agencies.
