Senior Snowflake Cloud Developer

The Senior Snowflake Cloud Developer drives data-driven strategies and delivers impactful insights to optimize content, user experience, and conversion rates. This role requires analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred SnowPro Core and/or SnowPro Advanced certifications.

EXPERIENCE:

•    12+ years of overall experience in IT.

•    6+ of architecture or engineering experience in data modeling, building data pipelines, ETL Frameworks, Data products and Distributed data systems.

•    6+ Years experience within Data Warehouse: management (star schemas, snowflake schemas etc.) within Snowflake.

•    5+ years as a Snowflake Developer/ Data Engineer/ ETL Developer/ Data Warehouse Analyst etc.

Nice to have:   

•    5+ year of experience with PySpark

•    5+ year of experience with processing JSON files

•    5+ plus years of job-related experience in programming languages such as Scala, Python, or similar

THOSE NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB COMPETENTLY:

•    Thorough knowledge of Snowflake architecture.

•    Expertise in designing data models.

•    Should have worked on the preparation of Technical Specification documents.

•    Strong hands-on experience in Snowflake as a technical developer

•    Working Knowledge with SAP systems as Source.

•    Snowflake Development and Administration skills are a must.

•    Very Good analytical skills to analyze ETL and SQL issues and to fix them independently.

•    Able to provide the estimation on work efforts.

•    Should be able to connect to customers and gather requirements and work independently on

those requirements.

•    Should have advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts on schema formation.

•    Strong knowledge of Dimensional Modeling Concepts.

•    SAP Functional Knowledge, good to have.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Computer Science or other equivalent majors)

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE AND CREATE AN IMPACT:

•   Collaborate with the Analytics team to prototype and prove the viability of the solution.

•   Involved in gathering requirements and preparing technical documents including but not limited to Support documentation.

•   Lead development and execution of data solutions involving specific projects.

•   Require the person to be hands on in Snowflake Development and Administration

•   Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

•   Provide expertise in the development of standards.

•   Work cross-functionally with product owners, business stake holders, and management.

•   Comfortable with rapid prototyping and disciplined software development process.

•   Performs other duties as assigned.
