The RoleWe're seeking a talented individual to join us as a Senior Principal Product Intelligence Specialist. In this role, you'll lead the charge in leveraging Microsoft's BI tools and technologies to extract insights from Aspen's business data, driving strategic decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders. As a seasoned professional, you'll take ownership of BI initiatives, guiding junior team members, and ensuring the delivery of impactful solutions.Your Impact

• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business users to gather and understand data and reporting requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Data Modeling and Design: Design and develop data models, data warehouses, and ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, DataWarehouse, and related tools. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for reporting purposes.
• Report and Dashboard Development: Create interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. Implement data visualizations that effectively convey insights to end-users.
• ETL Development: Develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to integrate data from various sources.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize query performance and overall system performance to ensure efficient BI solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure successful BI implementation.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on using BI tools and understanding the reports and dashboards.
• Stay Updated: Stay abreast of the latest Microsoft BI technologies and trends, making recommendations for improvements and advancements.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing BI solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Proficient in SQL Server, Power BI, and other Microsoft BI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Developer preferred.
