Sr Systems Developer - BI Report

Job Description

Summarized Purpose:

Provides systems analysis, design, development, testing and support on highly complex technical information system components.

Essential Functions

• Develops cost and resource estimates for projects.
• Provides recommendations on Tableau report design.
• Develops report components according to specifications.
• Prepares and approves system documentation, including requirements document, specification document, test plans and user manuals.
• Performs unit and system tests and as needed, validation testing.
• Coordinates with Operations staff on deployment of applications.
• Collaborates with other IT groups to include support and deployment of product.
• Provides guidance to junior staff and contract labor in executing systems development responsibilities.
• Works with business partners to analyze and address support requests.
• Ensures all activities are performed with quality and compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot the production issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Overall 6 to 8 years of IT Experience.
• Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to multitask and pay close attention to detail.
• Minimum of 4 years of BI developer experience working in an Agile environment.
• Tableau proficiency
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with developing Tableau dashboards.
  • Good knowledge on Tableau data sources modification.
  • Good knowledge on technical Tableau functionalities.

• SQL proficiency
  • Advanced T-SQL - for both writing and modifying queries and data analysis and validation.
• Knowledge of Statistical analysis, Data visualization, Good Reporting Practices.
• Strong attention to detail

• Previous experience with Snowflake
• Experience with researching best Tableau solutions in Tableau Community
• PL-SQL
• Understanding of the ETL process
• Understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts
• Strong business analysis skills, particularly in developing and validating business cases and product ideas or concepts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain concepts clearly.
• Self-motivation, and comfort with working in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
• Previous involved in building new products from the ground up in a growth company and technical strength in data technology are beneficial.

India – 1 PM to 10 PM IST

Manila - 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM PST
