Core Responsibilities:



  • Import Planning: Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate import activities. Ensure timely and cost-effective importation of goods while adhering to regulations and company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and optimize stock levels to meet customer demand. Minimize excess inventory and avoid stockouts through effective planning and forecasting.
  • Supplier Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with international suppliers. Communicate effectively regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any potential issues. Collaborate to resolve discrepancies and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with import regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements. Ensure all imports comply with legal standards and regulations. Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance of shipments.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools and software to assess demand trends, supplier performance, and inventory turnover rates. Generate reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and sales to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives. Collaborate on demand forecasting and production planning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize lead times.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans. Address potential issues related to transportation, supplier reliability, and geopolitical factors that may impact imports.

Qualified candidates will have:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in import planning and supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are highly desirable
