About the Role: 

As a Technical Writer within the Solutions Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our developer portal’s user experience. Your primary responsibilities will be to create comprehensive, accurate and easy-to-understand API documentation that empowers developers to quickly integrate and effectively utilize our APIs. Well-crafted documentation not only supports our users but also reduces the volume of support queries and increases the adoption and retention rates of our APIs. By providing tools and resources that enhance our developer portal’s user experience, you contribute to the broader success of our technology ecosystem. Technical writers will also be responsible to contribute to creation of training materials and other educational content to help developers understand our products better.

What You’ll Do: 

• Work closely with product managers, engineers and developers to understand the features and functionalities of our REST/SOAP and AEMP APIs.
• Develop and maintain high-quality API documentation, including guides, API references and sample code.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team to ensure the developer portal is user-friendly and facilitates an excellent developer experience.
• Continuously update documentation based on product updates and feedback from developers.
• Assist in the development of tutorials, how-to guides and FAQs for the developer portal.Participate in API design review to provide input from a documentation perspective.

What We’re Looking For: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience. 
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a software development environment, specifically with API documentation for developer portals.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP and AEMP APIs.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.Experience with documentation tools and platforms like ReadME, Swagger/Postman, SOAP API etc.,
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.Experience with creating and maintaining diagrams, flow charts etc., is a plus.
