Overall Job Purpose:

The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for overseeing Ma’aden Gold’s continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Operations function. This position articulates and reinforces the vision, strategy and principles associated with continuous improvement throughout the affiliate.

Key tasks include organizing, promoting, and executing Policy Deployment implementation activities, both functionally and cross-functionally; training staff in policy deployment and process improvement; and reporting on process improvement performance.

Key Accountabilities:

Work Performed
• Promotes awareness & cultural change according to the Ma’aden Gold Policy Deployment plan throughout the organization
• Acts as a Change Agent driving a culture of continuous improvement within his division
• Instructs and leads others in continuous process improvements, including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques
• Seeks and evaluates process improvement and Lean Enterprise information, materials, and methods to match specific organizational needs as outlined by management, and adapts them to use in the execution of process improvement events

ROLE:

Male Nurse Job - Ma'aden Gold

1. Basic Function :

Provides a range of general medical nursing services to employees and their eligible dependents. Includes administering injections, vaccinations, treatment of minor injuries, dispensing of medicines as directed as well as a host of other related functions at the clinic.

2. Work Performed :

a. Receives patients at the clinic, determines the purpose of the visit, writes down brief history of the patient’s medical ailment, reads vital signs - pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure - as required, opens file for new patients and retrieves file of returning patients, records information and passes the file on to the doctor.

b. Attends to minor injuries and abrasions, assists the doctor in treating complicated cases, and administers injections and vaccinations as instructed. Operates medical equipment such as AUTOCLAVE and minor diagnostic instruments, physical therapy machines, etc. as directed.

c. Cares for patients kept overnight in the clinic for observation and administers IV fluids in accordance with doctor’s orders.

d. Dispenses medicines and other medical items per instructions of the doctor and explains to the patient dosage and usage of the medicine.

e. Responds to emergency calls, administers first-aid, treats injuries, notifies the doctor and as required drives the ambulance.

f. Receives, verifies and arranges medicines and other medical items into the dispensary, ascertains dates of expiry and discards expired items following approval by the doctor.

g. Inspects, weekly, all first aid stations at the site and replenishes supplies as required.

h. Serves as member of the Rescue Team.

i. Performs similar or other related duties such as preparing statistical reports, typing, driving patients to GOSI hospitals, etc.

Daily contacts with all levels of employees and their dependents either in person on the telephone to attend to their medical care requirements.

Independence of Operation:

Works according to well defined procedures and specialised medical standards. Work is subject to spot checking by the doctor.

Work Environment:
