Job Summary.
Entry level position tasked with learning and working all the products linked with the Liner Systems and Completion product line. During this time, you will be primarily focused on workshop / base assistance with the goal of being able to identify and explain the various tools / components that make up the Liner Systems portfolio. You will also be expected to follow a specified learning plan that will include various computer-based learning modules as well as classroom training. During this learning phase, you may take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned to you by your Supervisor.The Field Service Specialist I as an entry level operations position will perform the installation of basic completion tools equipment into customer wells and complete all associated job paperwork.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete all safety training, training plan and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines. Have a basic knowledge and Must understand of NOV quality policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace instructions. Work in compliance with (ISO/ API / SCC) Ability to install basic completion tools equipment according to operating procedure or within the scope of its intended use. Have a basic knowledge and understanding of on location rigs, coiled tubing Tools, Completion Tools / System & Liner Hanger System. Ability to perform basic downhole hydraulic calculations. Verify and inspect completion tools equipment and supplies shipped to the wellsite are in proper working condition. Report status of on-going activities daily to the Project Engineers / Field Manager Service / Operations Manager. Prepare, complete and submit accurate & thorough end of well reports on a timely basis to the Manager Field Service. Hold pre-job meetings, toolbox talks with relevant on location personnel. Provide workshop assistance when not at field locations. Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV. Required to be available on a 24-hour call basis as needed. Show willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager/Manager Field Services Report any unsafe activities or injuries to HSE Manager immediately and also immediate manager. Be aware of your responsibilities, accountabilities, tasks, and goals for health, safety, and environmental protection. Work assignments are to be carried out to the highest quality level. Assist workshop personnel in the preparation of jobs (which may include; inventory, tool measurement, documentation, equipment load-out, etc…) Assist in the shop and make deliveries when available Prepare and keep accurate paperwork on delivery tickets, job reports, time sheets and other similar administrative forms. Keep accurate paperwork of equipment used and services provided in the field. . Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Industry experience in relevant field. Basic field operation’s background. Basic rig knowledge. Successfully complete all training plans and competency standard’s set out for Field Service Specialist I Mechanical ability necessary to perform tasks. Basic level computer skills (Microsoft Office). Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to problem solve using thorough analytical skills The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations Able to work in remote Areas in other countries. Self-motivated, self-starter. Must be able to follow instructions. Able to work closely with fellow employees. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations as it applies to customer requirements.
