About the job Principal

We are looking for a Principal, for a renowned company in the fintech industry in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Principal, you will play a critical role in analyzing investment and acquisition opportunities, conducting due diligence, monitoring investments, and providing financial support to the group companies.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct in-depth analysis of potential investment and acquisition opportunities, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment.
  • Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial statements, conducting market research, and assessing legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the negotiation and structuring of investment transactions and support the closing process.
  • Monitor the performance of the group's investments, including tracking financial and operational metrics.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to optimize investment performance.
  • Collaborate with group companies to support their financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Assess funding requirements and provide financial analysis and recommendations to meet their capital needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to drive growth and optimize returns.
  • Work closely with the team on restructuring initiatives within the family office.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance is a must.
  • Master's degree in Finance or CFA Charter holder is a must.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working with a family office or venture capital firm is a must.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, including proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a deep understanding of investment evaluation and due diligence processes.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently.
