JOB PURPOSE:

Undertake mechanical engineering tasks relating to the design, build, operation and maintenance of designated facilities.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·Undertake mechanical engineering tasks relating to the creation, development, validation, certification, qualification, and delivery of required facilities; and the ongoing operation and maintenance of those facilities.
·Work within company designated engineering life cycle (ELC) policy and framework.
·Work within area of competence and to limits of delegated design authority.
·Contribute to and participate in formal technical bid reviews, design reviews and project reviews as required by life cycle management (LCM) policy.
·Operate as a member of the FM engineering team, working with architects and other engineers.
·Liaise with construction sub-contractors and other parties in the supply chain, including visits to construction sites and facilities.
·Oprate within company and legislative requirements for health, personal safety, product safety and environmental protection.
·Operate within the company requirements for responsible business conduct.
·Contribute to personal and team development through adopting best practice, lessons learnt and sharing experience.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION:

·Degree qualified in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
·Eligible to be member of a recognised professional engineering society.
·Five years minimum experience in construction industry undertaking mechanical engineering tasks.
·Undertaking (or planning) development to become a chartered engineer.
·Higher grade (Grade 5) only available if chartered status extant.
·Undertaking (or planning) relevant post graduate studies
