Description



Bank of Jordan, a reputable financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a diligent and analytical Credit Analyst to join our team. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and assessment of credit applications from individual and corporate borrowers.
Bank of Jordan is dedicated to providing excellent financial services and building strong relationships with our clients. As a Credit Analyst, you will contribute to the bank's objective of maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities



Analyze credit applications, including financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents, to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers. Conduct credit investigations, verifying financial information and assessing the repayment capacity of borrowers. Prepare detailed credit reports, including findings and recommendations for credit decisions. Collaborate with loan officers and relationship managers to obtain additional information and make informed credit decisions. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor and review existing loan portfolios, identifying potential risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and changes in regulatory requirements related to credit analysis. Participate in credit committee meetings and provide insights for credit applications.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in credit analysis or underwriting, preferably in the banking industry. Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessment. Experience in conducting credit investigations and assessing creditworthiness. Familiarity with lending practices and relevant regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.* High degree of professionalism and integrity.
