About the Business
Description and Desired Qualifications
We are currently undertaking the role of Owner’s Engineer on the Disi-Mudawarra to Amman Water Conveyance Pipeline project in Jordan. The project works consist of 55 production wells, 325 km of 1.6m diameter steel water pipeline, holding reservoir of 150K m3 capacity, pump stations and all associated works. With the construction phase nearing completion we are looking for a Commissioning Manager with extensive experience of large water infrastructure projects such as transmission pipelines, pumping stations and well fields.
Reporting to the Project manager, you will manage and coordinate a team of EPC and O&M Contractors, providing guidance and expertise. You will be responsible for all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities executed by the EPC Contractors and will, therefore, be familiar with commissioning processes and procedures for deep well and conveyance pumps, power installations and SCADA / PLC control system integrations. Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential as you will provide the interface between internal disciplines and external stakeholders, including the Client, Jordanian Government Departments and all site Contractors. Due to the nature and location(s) of the assets, travel is a major component of the role and, therefore, applicants must be willing to spend 40-50% of their time away from their home base.

Basic Qualifications
Recent and relevant experience in a Commissioning Management position.

Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
Superior report writing skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely. Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation, Control & Automation).
Current or previous experience working in the Middle East.
Fluent Arab language skills.
