Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are a VC-backed seed-stage proptech startup focused on revolutionizing the home renovation market in Saudi Arabia. Our mission is to transform how home renovations are conceptualized, executed, and delivered, providing a seamless experience for our clients. Incubated by Stryber and backed by an Investor, we are preparing for launch and seeking dynamic individuals to join our team.
Role Overview:
As our first technical hire and a senior full stack engineer, you will serve as the CEO’s main point of contact for all technical matters, playing a crucial role in both strategic decisions and hands-on development. You will lead the design and implementation of our software solutions from front to back, ensuring a robust, scalable, and efficient system. Post-launch, you will have the opportunity to build and lead our technical team.
Responsibilities:
Develop user-facing features and the underlying server-side logic Maintain and enhance database functionality, ensure high performance and responsiveness Design and integrate APIs, manage data interactions and asynchronous processes Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security Build reusable code and libraries for future use across projects Collaborate with various stakeholders including product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions Establish and refine technical standards and best practices across the team Mentor and coach future team members in both front-end and back-end development
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on both front-end and back-end technologies Proficiency in modern JavaScript/ES6, TypeScript, ReactJS, and Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS) Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and client-side scripting Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful API design, and third-party integrations Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Docker-based workflows Knowledge of CI/CD practices, automated testing (Jest, Mocha), and software engineering tools (GitHub, JIRA) A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for technical leadership
Desirable:
Experience with serverless architectures, DevOps, or embedded systems engineering Contributions to open source projects Previous startup experience or experience in a technical leadership role KSA or GCC experience
