Mathematics Instructor (Full-time)

American International University (AIU), located in Kuwait, invites applicants for the full-time position of Faculty for Mathematics with a vision of excellence in instruction and a commitment to students’ academic success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides face-to-face and/or on-line instructions to AIU students.
- Plans, prepares lessons to assigned math courses.
- Maintainsaccurate grade and attendancerecords.
- Collaborates with course coordinators to ensure course objectives are being met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers well-planned creative and engaging lessons.
- Selects and uses a range of different learning resources and teaching styles, appropriate to subject and topic.
- Participates in the development of the course curriculum and the production of high-quality teaching and learning resources.
- Commits to create and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment that is conducive to success for all students.
- Promptness and accuracy on maintaining records of student achievements and reporting results of student assessments in accordance with AIU practices and in compliance with the record management system requirements.
- Has the ability to handlea fast-paced, andhigh-volume workenvironment.
- Usesand updates the requiredcoursemanagementsystem.
- Beateamplayer,havestrong leadership skills,and possess a high-energylevelandapositiveattitude.
- Supportsdepartmentassessmentinitiatives.
- Contributes to academic planning and strategic development.
- Meets deadlines and performs efficiently any role that is associated with teaching.
- Participate in other job-related duties and activities related to the position as assigned, including but not limited to department meetings and office hours.
- Hasexcellentcommunicationskills,both verbally and inwriting.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD degree in Mathematics, or closely related field.
- Experience in developing course material as per accreditation and international standards.
- Ability to integrate and use technology to enhance teaching and facilitate communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Applicants mustmeet the credentials andguidelines givenbyPrivate UniversitiesCouncil(PUC).
