JOB OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for the delivery of technical design & proposal related to complex IT & Network Infrastructure (Active & Passive), ELV systems working in close coordination with System Engineering, Product line managers, procurement and Bid Management teams. Design & deliver the technical solution/architecture and detailed design requirements and evaluate cost, risk and schedule impact to deliver ELV, IT & Network (active & passive) – Infrastructure systems & solutions. Able to understand Civil and MEP system basic design and consideration. Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations and be responsible for technical negotiation with the Customer and third party vendors. Provide necessary support for Projects across the region as and when needed in Adhoc basis.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify the technical requirements for each bid and will agree with the Bid team on the bidding strategy. Collate methodologies and write cohesive tender submissions in line with the agreed bid strategy and timescales. Always aim to achieve the best technical and price solution. Provide Systems Engineering contribution as the subject matter expert to the Bids and Project teams in the preparation of technical information and designs. Define and develop compliant ELV, IT & Network (active & passive) – Infrastructure systems & solutions based on specifications, standards and customer requirements. Responsible for conducting site surveys, developing conceptual, preliminary and detailed design for complex, integrated ELV, IT & Network – Infrastructure systems solutions and must take into account functionality, interoperability and interfaces both within the system and to external systems. Responsible for the preparation of RFPs in accordance with tender requirements and expected scope of works to get proper quote and proposal from vendors/suppliers. Conduct technical evaluation of offers received and define the preferred choice based on technical and commercial viability. Responsible for the assessment of risks and issues with opportunities that affect the assigned work package. Work and able to provide information details on compliance/value engineering /optimizations / ROM estimations/Competitive Bench marking. Coordinate with other systems specialists to develop a successful integration of the Network and IT infrastructure with associated system platforms. Work with cross-functional business units and other systems specialists to understand and develop the technical content aligned to the bid requirements. Produce design documents to support with the detailed estimation, costing and specification of equipment. Prepare and deliver robust handover of the solution, documentation and bid detail to operational project teams to deliver the solution. Support the project team in system configuration & conducting FAT/SAT for the ELV, IT & Network – Infrastructure systems whenever there is a need. Actively participate and share knowledge in the Engineering Community group. Contribute to the Engineering Operation Process and continuous improvement.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5-8 years’ experience in the development of bid design and costings for ELV, IT & Network (active & passive) – Infrastructure systems & solutions in an integrated systems environment. Defense & Critical Infrastructure - Airport and Rail industry Experience preferred. Reasonable experience in Civil/MEP system design preferred.

ELV Systems (CCTV/ACS/IAS), Network (WAN/LAN connectivity, routers), IT Infrastructure (Virtualisation & Cloud infrastructures), Communication System (VCCS/Radio etc), Passive Infrastructure (SCN/Data Center etc). Others (VideoWall, Console, UPS etc)
QUALIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Relevant engineering degree with 8 years’ experience in the design and implementation of ELV, IT & Network (active & passive) – Infrastructure systems. Must have at least 5 years’ experience working as an engineer (ideally as a proposals/bid engineer) Experience of working on large, technically demanding bids for delivery throughout the world Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Able to present technical solutions fluently within a client-facing environment. Excellent time management • Ability to embrace change and drive continual improvement.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Able to demonstrate a systems requirement management approach. Able to do system design and estimation independently. Able to build strong relationships and coordinate with external contractors and suppliers. Customer facing skills providing technical information in meetings, demonstrations and presentations. Clear and concise technical document writing skills (English language). Planning and reporting of project and systems design progress. Ability to work under pressure without direct daily supervision.
