As the Expert- Civil & Infrastructure you will be responsible to lead the CME section towards the rollout of sites and ensure that the rollout is within the company targets, mission and vision and to overcome challenges in CME implementations area and to ensure CME Section readiness according to business necessities, the rollout plans & project management requirements.
Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible of the following:
Planning, Forecasting and Executing
Plans and dimensions the CME (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Implementations requirements according to the rollout & implementations plans. Plan, lead and control CME Equipment/Material types, quality and requirements for sites. Produces/prepare/controls reports, guidelines, processes for CME implementations team and capable to set/define targets by cooperating with related departments and parties. Supervise various CME Equipment/Material Implementations on site in different region of Oman. Review site structural analysis, Site layout design, soil investigation reports and site rollout plans and ensures their conformity to OG standards and specifications. Review the full CME project scope, ensure that all requirements and needs are included, and are in line with Ooredoo rollout projects. Liaise with capability management in the preparation of the AOP and 3YB budget for the CME requirements and needs. Verify and approve change orders to meet different site conditions and requirements.
Technology Improvement
Reviews different solutions and technologies of CME available in the market including tower designs, foundation designs, Shelters and propose cost effective solutions for site rollout. Reviews different implementation methodologies, processes and procedures and identifies ways to improve efficiency in terms of cost and time.
Vendors Management
Submit documentation to contractors to start the work on site. Conduct commissioning of Equipment/Material at site. Prepare SOW with including BOQ and evaluate tenders, RFPs, RFQ. Managing data base and keep updated for CME Equipment/Material. Define the requirements of CME Implementations per site. Managing, executing and administration of appropriate inventory tools. Managing, executing and controlling projects, teams and tasks with interaction other departments into cross-functional structure.
Quality Assurance
Prepares/ Reviews up to date quality standards, processes and HSE standards and ensures its conformity to OG guidelines. Monitor and report the quality of Implementations work from contractors and reports back for any deviation/violation and take necessary action to be correct. Inspect Implementations work on site if required and resolve Implementations problems through contractors or escalate the problem to Ooredoo Implementation team
ColocationManagement
Validate Towerco. Requests for installation of additional / up-graded Equipment and additional power provisioning. Check if structure can accommodate the additional equipment and if space is available on ground. Verify the existing tower structure stability based on Towerco. requests and if Extension / strengthening is required Confirm timeline for civil site work preparation and inform site engineering on expected RFI date. Issue Work Order for site preparation work / strengthening / Extension activities to CME contractor. Manage to conduct Site Acceptance Testing after civil site work preparation completed and reports snags for rectification. Declare site RFI to site engineering team
Skills Required
Site Planning, technical inspections and construction. Reporting as per management requirements. Vendor Management. Civil works commissioning and testing. Structural analysis & other related engineering reports. Inventory Planning and Management. Managing CME database including as built documentation and keep updating CME database. Review and approve the inspection requests sent by contractors through IMDBA System. Review and approve TSSR and final SIP version in NIS system. Update CME progress output of weekly meeting as per attributes in NIS system.
The Person
You should have at At least 8 years of experience in CME Implementations withat least 3-5 years in telecom projects.
BSc. in Engineering/Civil/ telecomm or related fields. Experienced in telecom towers civil structural analysis. Excellent understanding & provide technical recommendation from Structural Analysis Report (SAR) for Roof Top Sites and Soil Investigation Report (SIR) for Green Field Sites. Experienced in telecom shelters and towers foundations. Proven experience in contractor and third party management. Good general overview of the telecom systems and their loading, cooling, power and space requirements. Good understanding of project management methodologies. Expert level of knowledge on Implementations field. Understanding of Tower Structural analysis tools reports generated by tools like STADD. Understanding of Structural building analysis tools reports generated by tools like (ETAAB, STAADPro, SAP). Managing/plan CME Site Supervision Team. Professional verification of related BoQs. Professional understanding of any engineering and technical tendering requirements. MS Office skills. Fluent written and spoken English. Good written and spoken Arabic is desirable
