Position Title: Analyst/Associate, Grants & Contracts

Job Role / Responsibilities:


Reporting to Assistant Manager, you will be responsible to lead financial activities for Grants & Contracts department and provide regular and periodic reports to management.Specifically, you will be responsible for;


  • preparing financial reports to be sent for international and domestic granting agencies
  • provide budgetary approval for payment vouchers as per the approved authority matrix within specified timelines
  • process purchase requisition, personnel requisitions and travel request as per approved budgets
  • prepare and review budgets to be submitted to donor agencies
  • meeting Principal Investigator (PI) on a monthly basis to discuss grant project financials
  • assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing
  • ensure grant compliance in the light of University and granting agency protocols
  • any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:


  • Qualified (fully or partial) ACMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification in a related area
  • professional certification in a relevant field will be an added advantage
  • minimum two years of experience in relevant field
  • should be able to operate MS Office
  • should have knowledge of Accounting Principles and IAS
  • possess good analytical skills and able to demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills
  • should be fast learner, team worker and self-motivated
  • effective time management
