Job Summary:



The functional head of management development plays a pivotal role in overseeing the professional and developmental needs within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning programs that enhance employee skills, improve performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The functional head must be equipped to handle the scaling needs of Johnny and Jugnu and build a robust structure of Learning and development where all the managers (new + existing) are up to the bar with soft and technical skills essential for becoming restaurant manager.


Key Responsibilities:



-Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic learning and development plan aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.


-Curriculum Development: Design and implement learning programs, courses, and resources tailored to the specific needs of QSR industry professionals at all levels.


-Training Delivery: Oversee the delivery of training programs through various methods such as instructor-led training, e-learning platforms, workshops, and seminars.


-Performance Evaluation: Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve training outcomes.


-Leadership Development: Develop leadership training programs to cultivate and empower managers and supervisors at all levels.


-Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all learning and development initiatives comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.


-Technology Integration: Leverage technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences and facilitate efficient training delivery.


-Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, marketing, and finance, to identify learning needs and align training initiatives with business objectives.


-Talent Development: Identify high-potential employees and create tailored development plans to nurture talent and support career progression.


-Budget Management: Manage the learning and development budget effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources while maintaining quality standards.


-Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development to enhance training methodologies and drive continuous improvement.


-Communication: Effectively communicate learning initiatives, progress, and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.


-Master's degree preferred.
-Proven experience (8-9) in a similar role within the QSR industry or related field.
-Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve training effectiveness.
-Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant technology platforms.
-Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to training and development in the QSR industry.
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
-Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD) is a plus.
