Lead Software Engineer

Job Description


Responsibilites:



• Serves as a staff software engineering resource while building next generation AI products & services
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems using industry best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows established software development methodologies.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and deliver high-quality products on time.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, and actively contribute to the improvement of software development processes.

Requirements:

• 7+ years' successful professional experience in the design, delivery, and support of complex projects across various web platforms.

  
  

  Bachelor of Science (B.S.); Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  
  

  5+ years of experience as a lead/architect and at least 2 years as a people manager.

  
  

  Experience with Python, React, SQL

  
  

  Experience with building real-time / near real-time streaming data platforms

  
  

  Experience with building scalable cloud based services & microservices

  
  

  Strong competency in engineering for the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)

  
  

  Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, deliverables, and timelines.

  
  

  Ability to develop technical solutions based on requirements from product, technology, and support teams.

  
  

  Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams, and comfortable working in a virtual environment.

  
  

  Experience using unit testing frameworks.

  
  

  Experience using code analysis tools such as PMD, Checkstyle, Findbugs, and Sonar.
