Job Description for Oracle SOA and Service Bus Resources

As an Oracle SOA and Service Bus Resource, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Service Bus solutions within our organization. Your primary focus will be on leveraging Oracle's suite of integration tools to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between various systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing SOA and Service Bus architectures, collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable and robust SOA and Service Bus architectures that meet organizational needs.
• Design, develop, and customize Oracle SOA composites, BPEL processes, Mediator components, and Service Bus pipelines to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between various systems and applications.
• Implement integration solutions using Oracle SOA Suite and Service Bus to connect disparate systems, applications, and databases. Develop and configure adapters, transports, and transformations to ensure smooth interoperability.
• Develop unit tests and participate in integration testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of SOA and Service Bus components. Identify and address any defects or issues in a timely manner.
• Analyze the performance of SOA and Service Bus components and optimize configurations to enhance message processing efficiency and minimize latency. Implement caching mechanisms and tuning strategies to improve overall system performance.
• Implement monitoring solutions and conduct regular health checks to identify and resolve issues proactively. Troubleshoot integration problems and provide timely resolutions.
• Document technical designs, configurations, development activities, and troubleshooting procedures. Maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, business analysts, and system administrators to deliver high-quality integration solutions on time and within budget.
• Stay updated on the latest Oracle SOA Suite and Service Bus developments, best practices, and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and processes through the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed SOA and Service Bus solutions. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted operation and optimal user experience.
• Establish and enforce security policies and procedures for Oracle SOA applications and infrastructure.
• Configured secured data transfer with internal and external partner systems.
• Apply patches and upgrade Oracle SOA components including Oracle Service Bus (OSB), BPEL (Business Process Execution Language), BAM (Business Activity Monitoring), and Mediator products.
• Redeployment of jar files after the upgrade of SOA Suite

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in developing Oracle SOA Suite and Service Bus solutions, including hands-on experience with BPEL, Mediator, Service Bus, adapters, and transports.
• Proficiency in Java programming language and familiarity with web services standards (SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSD, XSLT).
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging protocols, and enterprise application integration (EAI) concepts.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware administration tasks such as installation, configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Integration services (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Cloud Service).
• Knowledge of other integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise service buses (ESBs).

Preferred Qualification

• Oracle SOA Suite and Service Bus certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle SOA Suite 12c).
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Integration services (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Cloud Service).
• Knowledge of other integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, microservices, and ESBs.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
• Experience is ADF is nice to have.
