Position: AC Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AC Technician to join our maintenance team. The AC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in HVAC systems and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation:
   

   
   
   • Install new air conditioning systems and equipment.
     
   • Inspect and manage the installation of HVAC systems to ensure proper installation and compliance with codes.
     

2. Maintenance and Repair:
   

   
   
   • Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems.
     
   • Diagnose and repair any issues within the HVAC systems, including leaks, faulty components, and blockages.
     
   • Replace or repair defective parts in a timely and efficient manner.
     

3. System Testing:
   

   
   
   • Test systems for proper functioning after installation, maintenance, or repair.
     
   • Ensure that systems are compliant with industry standards and local regulations.
     

4. Customer Service and Communication:
   

   
   
   • Provide high-quality customer service, including clear communication about maintenance schedules, system issues, and repairs.
     
   • Offer advice and recommendations for system improvements and energy conservation.
     

5. Documentation:
   

   
   
   • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
     
   • Prepare and submit documentation of systems performance, including energy use and forecasted system needs.
     

Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; certification or associate degree in HVAC is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an AC Technician.
  
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  

Skills Required:

• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  
• Ability to work in confined and hot spaces like roofs, crawl spaces, and attics.
  
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans.
  
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
  

Specific Criteria or Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  
• Availability to work on call and in emergency situations.
  
• Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of protective gear.
