About the Business
Description and Desired Qualifications
The Halcrow Urban Water team deals with a range of public and private sector clients and provides specialist technical advisory and project management services on water industry projects in the Middle East . Due to continued growth and opportunities we are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer with extensive design management experience in wastewater projects to join our team in Qatar.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of wastewater projects and will, therefore, have extensive experience in design review and project management of major wastewater projects. You will play a key role in the development of new business as well as the tender preparation process; the ability to provide technical and commercial / contractual input is critical. As the interface between key stakeholders, which include the Client and various Government Departments, excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential. Both English and Arabic language skills are key to this role. Due to the nature and locations of the projects, travel is a major component of the role and, therefore, applicants must be willing to spend regular periods away from their home base.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years experience as a Principal Engineer involved with wastewater projects.
Demonstrable design review and Project Management experience with wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pumping stations and wastewater / drainage networks.
Experience with business development and winning new work.
Technical and Commercial experience with tender preparation.
Experience of working with local Clients and dealing with Government Departments.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
Chartered or Professional Engineering registration.
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Design & Build contracts.
Experience leading the tender preparation and submittal process.
Current or previous experience working in the Middle East . Fluent Arab language skills.

Service Engineer (QATAR) Job - Honeywell

An opportunity has arisen for a multi-disciplined engineer to join the Honeywell PAS (Process Automation System) Maintenance Team at the Qatar Shell GTL site. The team is a dynamic, multi-disciplined team responsible for ensuring the integrity and operational availability of the Process Automation System.

The team covers all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance, DCS configuration troubleshooting through to supporting plant modification projects, commissioning activities and plant startup.

The team is an integrated part of the Qatar Shell GTL asset team and as such, the candidate will need to feel comfortable in interacting with the client and have good written and oral communication skills.

The Qatar Shell GTL site requires individuals to be able to manage a high workload, in a high pressure environment whilst maintaining focus on priorities and carrying out work in a safe and controlled manner.

The position is a site based position (5 days per week) at the Qatar Shell GTL site in Ras Laffan Industrial City, State of Qatar. This is a local hire position and not rotational.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine/complex preventative maintenance work and/or corrective activities for all system components that comprise the PAS (Process Automation System).
• Definition, design, and implementation of PM scope.
• Deploy latest system software, patches and updates (including Honeywell On and Off Process Migrations)
• Deploy latest security and antivirus updates across the PAS.
• Identify and contribute, where relevant, to hands-on training of other PAS Maintenance Team members.
• Understand and adhere to the ‘management of change’ (MoC) process.
• Responsible for all activities pertaining to the requesting, accepting and closing of permits to work (inclusive of performing risk assessment and site impact analysis, peer reviews ensuring the necessary approvals and controls are in place before work proceeds and that the implementers are aware of the limits and restrictions of permits)
• Raise the necessary SR’s with the relevant Honeywell Technical Assistance Centre and follow issues through to resolution.
• Escalate any SR issues considered to have either a serious impact or political impact to the System Custodian immediately.
• Maintain pro-active relationship with customer.
• Take part in an on-call rota to support the operational availability of the PAS out of normal working hours.
• Support site start-up and commissioning activities working closely with operations.
• Adhere to, and ensure the full adherence of others to the sites mandatory Process Control Domain security requirements

Advocacy Specialist Job - Qatar Foundation

The Advocacy Specialist will design and oversee implementation of a comprehensive advocacy strategy for ROTA in support of the organization’s work mission and strategic objectives. • Develop a comprehensive advocacy strategy for ROTA, clearly defining campaign objectives, timelines, audience, messaging, partners and implementation mechanisms. The strategy should be accompanied by a plan for evaluating the success of campaigns
• In cooperation with the Research Specialist and Communications team, gather background research and develop communications materials that support ROTA advocacy efforts.
• Cooperate with Community Development program staff to implement awareness-raising and engagement activities for the public in Qatar.
• Cooperate with ROTAsia program staff to pursue advocacy at the field level where ROTA implements programs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Interact with the Qatar Liaison Office in New York to ensure timely delivery of all course/clerkship material. Proof reading and editing of the material as appropriate.
Provide support for all live interactive sessions for clinical clerkships and courses.

Interact with staff and Faculty at WCMC-Q, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and other affiliated health care sites in Qatar.

Under the direction of the Clinical Curriculum Coordinator, supervise the support staff dedicated to the clinical curriculum.

The (HSE) Health, Safety, and Environment Inspector supports the Construction team by providing advice and work direction to Supervisors, main contractors and sub contractors on HSSE matters
Duties & Responsibilities:
Report to the Health Safety & Environment Lead and are responsible for supporting him deliver his responsibilities.
Administer the implementation of site specific safe work practices and procedures.
Support the development and realization of a “Zero Incident Culture” in a way that serious injuries are prevented and best in class HSE performance is achieved.
Facilitates, organizes and leads if required internal meetings and client discussions.
Provide HSE assurance of all proposed subcontractors, fabricators and vendors as required, verifying their compliance with project HSE requirements.
