About the job Press Operator (Offset)

As an individual contributor he should have a sound knowledge of the entire printing process as well as technical know-how of the machine that he operates. The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth running of the printing that leads to customer satisfaction. Ensures that all presses are supplied and fed with required quantities of paper and other consumables to produce quality outputs

As an individual contributor he should have a sound knowledge of the entire printing process as well as technical know-how of the machine that he operates. The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth running of the printing that leads to customer satisfaction. Ensures that all presses are supplied and fed with required quantities of paper and other consumables to produce quality outputs

  • Reviewing job orders to make the right adjustments to the printing machine
  • Prepare, Operate and Maintain the press:
  • Installation of the printing plate with the images to be printed and adjusts the pressure at which the machine prints
  • loads paper and adjust the press to the paper size
  • Feeds paper through the press cylinders and adjust feed and tension controls
  • Fills ink and dampening solution fountains of press.
  • Adjusts press machine parts
  • Regularly inspect press machine for any malfunctions.
  • Performs maintenance task on the printing machine
  • Performs troubleshooting on minor machine issues such as creaking sounds etc.
  • Coordinate with the in-house maintenance team for any machine malfunctions
  • Cleaning of the printing press and peripherals
